Congressman Jim Costa urges the U.S. government to follow Germany’s example and recognize the Armenian Genocide
The United States continues to fail to recognize the Armenian Genocide.
This is what Congressman Jim Costa said. “Critics always say it is not time to recognize the Armenian Genocide. However, the German government reaffirmed that now is the time. Despite that, the United States continues to fail to stand up and do the right thing,” Costa stated, according to Artsakhpress.
Costa welcomed the adoption of the resolution on recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the German Bundestag. “I welcome the German Bundestag for condemning the horrible genocide that took place in the Ottoman Empire 100 years ago. I urge the President and Congress to follow the example of Germany and other courageous countries and adopt a clear-cut policy to recognize the Armenian Genocide once and for all,” the Congressman said.
