On May 13, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received member of the Armenian National Committee of Jerusalem Georgette Avakian.

Greeting the guest, Hranush Hakobyan appreciated the pro-national activities of the Armenian National Committee of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun, particularly the efforts for the organizing and holding of events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide and Israel’s recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

The Minister also expressed gratitude for the willingness to stand with and support Armenia during the troubling days of the war in April. “Today, the oil of Azerbaijan is “firing”. Azerbaijan is selling state properties and purchasing weapons to shoot at Armenian soldiers. We need to raise our voices and condemn all countries selling weapons to Azerbaijan, including Israel,” the Minister particularly stated.

Member of the Armenian National Committee of Jerusalem Georgette Avakian also expressed her concern, assuring that the Armenian National Committee of Jerusalem has appealed to different structures and organizations of Israel, made calls and issued statements condemning Azerbaijan’s assaults and organized protests and demonstrations.

Talking about the recent congress of the Armenian National Committees held in Artsakh, she stated that she had returned from Artsakh with energy and excitement.

The Armenian National Committee carries out large-scale lobbying efforts at the global level in order to internationalize the Armenian Genocide and state the claims of the Armenian people.

RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan granted Certificates of Appreciation of the RA Ministry of Diaspora to members of the Armenian National Committee of Jerusalem Georgette Avakian and Hagop Sevan as a token of appreciation of their longstanding pro-national activities.
