Mother of deceased soldier: “The only thing I ask from God is to make sure this is the last time and the Armenian people don’t suffer any more losses”

Let us observe another episode of the events that have been taking place on the borderline over these past weeks. Azerbaijan was actively opening fire on the night of 29 April. Sargis Gasparyan, who was at one of the military positions, noticed how one of his fellow military servicemen fell at a distance of 200 meters from him.

Sargis didn’t think twice, threw himself to help his friend and died.

Sona Hakobyan talked to the hero’s parents and fellow servicemen. “What matters to me a lot is that he went without thinking twice. I will always feel pain, but the important thing is that he was a good boy. They said he was sleeping and heard that an Armenian from Shushi had been injured,” Sargis’s mother said, as reported yerkirmedia.am. Sargis had received an order for his military service. His family is proud to have had a good son and takes pride in the fact that he died with honor. His mother and sister say they will always be in sorrow, and his mother emphasized the following:

“The only thing I ask from God is to make sure this is the last time and the Armenian people don’t suffer any more losses.”

Sargis’s friends, who are waiting to recover at the hospital in Stepanakert, are also proud of Sargis.

“Words can’t describe how I feel. It is very hard for an Armenian soldier to lose a friend. Armenian soldiers are very different from Azerbaijani soldiers. We Armenian soldiers are defending our land, our border and our families. Azerbaijani soldiers have no goals,” said Sargis’s friends.
