Iveta Mukuchyan’s response to question about waving the flag of Artsakh (video)

For us Armenians, one of the most important and the most sensational moments during the first semi-final of Eurovision Song Contest 2016 was when Armenia’s delegate Iveta Mukuchyan held both the national flags of Armenia and Artsakh. European presses were also interested in this and wished to know why Iveta decided to do that. In response, Armenia’s representative stated the following:
“Frankly, I was waiting for that question. Let’s not forget that I am representing my country and it is always in my heart and mind. I want to let the whole world know that I only want peace within the borders of my country. That is why I am presenting this song. With that song, I want to spread the wave everywhere. I was born in Germany, but I am Armenian and only want peace for the world and Armenia.”
