RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan receives Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Tehran, Archbishop Sepuh Sarkisian

RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Tehran, Archbishop Sepuh Sarkisian, who had just returned from Artsakh.

The Minister cordially greeted the guest and attached importance to the visits of spiritual leaders of Armenian communities of the Diaspora to Artsakh at this difficult moment for the Homeland. Hranush Hakobyan stated that His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians and His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia excited and strengthened the spirit of Armenian soldiers with their presence and words during their visit on April 13.

Archbishop Sepuh Sarkisian talked about the events that had been organized by the Armenian community of Tehran during and after the four-day war and particularly mentioned the spiritual ceremonies and the reawakening of the community. Sarkisian also mentioned that his visit to Artsakh and his meetings with President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan and the soldiers had changed him a lot and filled him with confidence and faith in the future.

The Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Tehran prayed for the soldiers’ safety and expressed his and the community’s solidarity with them, remembering that they have an unbreakable spirit and a courageous spirit.

Issues related to the Armenian community were discussed during the meeting.
