Armenian children creating pictures of soldiers defending Armenia

As you pass by the Henrik Igityan National Center of Aesthetics, you will notice pictures of Armenian soldiers created by children.
The creators of the 60 exhibited paintings are the students of Sona Banoyan’s art studio located at the National Center of Aesthetics.
Last year, scientific worker of the Museum of Literature Marina Haroyan and Director of the Children’s Gallery Armenuhi Igityan came up with an idea and launched the “Blossomed Armenia” project with the National Center of Aesthetics. Through the project dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the children created a large, 5-meter long picture and more than twenty small Batiks.
The children continued to create works of art this year with the same title, presenting pictures of Armenian soldiers.
“We had planned to create images of Armenian soldiers before the war broke out. All the children know that only with a strong army is it possible to have a “Blossomed Armenia”. My son is among the volunteers standing on the frontline. We hope our exhibition motivates all our soldiers,” Sona Banoyan stated in an interview with Mediamax.
Elen, 7, saw a “real soldier”, that is, her parents’ friend, Asatur when creating her painting.
The girl dreams of writing a letter to the soldiers someday, expressing her gratitude and telling them that she knows they are very brave because they are defending Armenia.
