RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received president of the Armenian community of Moldova Artur Avanyan.
Greeting the guest, the Minister praised Artur Avanyan’s efforts aimed at strengthening the Armenia-Diaspora partnership, as well as preserving, developing and disseminating the Armenian language.
Expressing gratitude for the reception, Artur Avanyan presented the situation of the Armenian community, the current problems and the future actions and stated that efforts are being made to consolidate the Armenians of Moldova, mobilize the community and show active participation in the pan-Armenian programs organized by the Ministry of Diaspora.
The president of the community added that the community holds events to make Armenia more recognized, as well as strengthen and develop relations between Armenia and the Diaspora and within the Diaspora.
The Minister urged Avanyan to have the Armenians of Moldova show more active participation in the “Ari Tun” Program, the “Diaspora” Summer School Program and the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival organized by the RA Ministry of Diaspora since participation in those programs serves as the best way for them to strengthen their bonds with the Homeland, become familiar with each other’s problems and seek paths to solve those problems together.
The sides also touched upon the situation created as a result of Azerbaijan’s recent military aggression and discussed the effectiveness of the events held by the community.
