The Shishli regional structure of the pro-Kurdish Democratic Party of Nations (HDP), which is part of the opposition represented in Turkey’s parliament, organized an event commemorating the 101^st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

The sitting strike was held with the title “Genocides Won’t End Without Confrontation”. The participants held photos of Armenian intellectuals killed in 1915, held a candlelight vigil and commemorated the victims of the Armenian Genocide with red lilies.

HDP representative Mahmut Cavli read the statement of the political party.

“They slaughtered the Armenians under the name of ��?displacement’. The genocide continues. The murders of Hrant Dink, Sevag Shahin and Maritsa Kucuk are the continuation of genocide,” Mahmut Cavli said, as reported ermenihaber.am, according to demokrathaber.
