On the evening of April 23, ambassadors, state officials, members of organizations and a large number of Armenians of Tehran gathered at the monument to the victims of the Armenian Genocide in the yard of the St. Sargis Armenian Church of Tehran to lay a wreath and commemorate the victims of the Armenian Genocide, as reported Iran’s Arax Weekly to Hayern Aysor.

The program began with a church ceremony, after which state officials and members of the local Armenian community approached the Armenian Genocide monument and bowed in memory of the 1.5 million martyrs, with demands and the feeling of wrath. Among the attendees were Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Iran Artashes Tumanyan and the entire personnel of the Armenian embassy, Ambassador of the Russian Federation Levon Jagharyan, the leader and clergy of the Diocese, as well as members of unions and media representatives.
