RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan receives Lebanese-Armenian businessman Buzand Kevorkian

RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Lebanese-Armenian benefactor Buzand Kevorkian. The Minister praised the Diaspora Armenian businessman’s charities and his investment programs that have helped create jobs in Armenia and Artsakh. Kevorkian is also one of the founders of Artsakh Roots Investment (ARI) which, in association with 85 Lebanese-Armenian businessmen and in collaboration with the authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, carries out programs promoting economic development in Artsakh. The company’s investments have helped make progress in agriculture, urban development and other spheres and have helped hundreds of families in Artsakh.
During the meeting, the sides discussed solutions to the issues facing Syrian-Armenians in Armenia and Lebanon.
The interlocutors touched upon the situation created as a result of Azerbaijan’s military aggression on 2-6 April and the issue on providing assistance to the families of deceased soldiers and to wounded soldiers. Minister Hranush Hakobyan stated that the Ministry of Defense is coordinating and specifying the issues related to assistance.
The benefactor expressed willingness to help several families.
