The Deutsche Phono-Akademie (German Recording Academy) has recognized well-known Armenian pianist Tigran Hamasyan in the Best International Instrumentalist (piano) category of the prestigious ECHO Jazz 2016 Awards for his album entitled “Mockroot”.
The talented musician was presented for the award along with great musicians like famous American jazz pianist Brad Meldhau and the James Farm Jazz Quartet.
The grand award ceremony will be held on May 28th in Hamburg.
The ECHO Jazz Awards is very famous in Germany and is equivalent to the annual Grammy Awards held in the USA.
