President Serzh Sargsyan today had a meeting with His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians and His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, as reported the press service of the RA President.

During the meeting, the President of the Republic of Armenia, the Catholicos of All Armenians and the Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia discussed the situation created as a result of the aggression that Azerbaijan recently unleashed on the NagornoKarabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact. The interlocutors attached importance to consolidation of the efforts of the State and the Church to solve the major issues and current challenges facing the nation. The Catholicos of All Armenians and the Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia talked about their upcoming visit to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic with the President of the Republic of Armenia.
