On April 10, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Poland hosted an event entitled “We are sorry and proud” near the Armenian khachkar (cross-stone) placed in the yard of the embassy. The event was followed by a candlelight vigil during which the gathered paid tribute to the Armenians who died in Artsakh as a result of the large-scale military aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan recently.
As reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, under the national flags of the Republic of Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, representatives of Polish-Armenian educational, cultural, charitable, youth and non-governmental organizations, intellectuals, students and several other representatives of the Armenian communities of various Polish cities participated in a candlelight vigil in memory of the soldiers who had died in Artsakh.
RA Ambassador to Poland Edgar Ghazaryan stated that the Armenian nation passed this difficult trial with honor and dignity and at the expense of our heroes’ lives. According to him, the venue for the event wasn’t selected by chance because the nation needs to unite with faith and around the State, and that is why the event was organized near the cross-stone located in the area near the embassy.
Ambassador Ghazaryan called on all Armenians to be united and stand with the independent Armenian state at this difficult moment in time.
