Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoygu has had urgent phone conversations with his Armenian and Azerbaijani counterparts in relation to the sharp escalation of the situation on the border of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, reports RIA Novosti.

The Ministers discussed the need to take immediate measures to stabilize the situation in the conflict zone.
