International Festival of National Dances to be held in Moscow

On April 17, the “З�?Л” Cultural Center of Moscow will host the annual “Hayordik” International Festival of National Dances with the support of the RA Ministry of Diaspora, reports the festival’s director, founding artistic director of “Hayordik” Song-Dance Ensemble Anahit Sargsyan to Hayern Aysor.
The goal of the third festival is to convey the spirit and feeling of patriotism to Armenians living abroad and to instill national discipline in the souls of the young generation through the performances of the dance ensembles based in different communities abroad.
The festival will end with an award ceremony during which awards will be granted to the dance ensembles according to categories. Two Armenian dance ensembles will also be participating in the festival.
“Hayordik” Song-Dance Ensemble was established in 1991 in Yerevan in memory of national hero Tatul Krpeyan and other Armenian heroes who led a struggle for life or death and died in the Artsakh war.
Since 1998, the “Hayordik” Song-Dance Ensemble has been carrying out activities for preservation of the Armenian identity in Moscow.
