Iraqi troops have launched the operation to liberate the ISIS-controlled city of Mosul.
The Turkish haberler reports that the Ministry of Defense of Iraq has issued a statement on this. The operation will be called “Fatih”. The Iraqi troops are backed by the air forces of the US-led international coalition.
As reports ermenihaber.am, the Turkish website reminds that in 2014, ISIS took control over Syria’s antique and renowned city of Palmyra and went on to conquer the city of Mosul.
