German-Armenian community preparing to commemorate the 101st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide

On April 23rd and 24th, the Armenian community of Germany will organize several events to commemorate the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
As reports Hayern Aysor, on April 23rd (15:00-17:00), a candlelight vigil will be held in front of the Turkish Embassy in Berlin with the slogan “100+1 Years: Recognize the Genocide”. On April 24th (15:00-16:00), an Ecumenical Ceremony will be held in memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide perpetrated by the Ottoman Empire.
Among the speakers will be leader of the Diocese of Germany of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Garegin Bekchyan; Armenia’s Ambassador to Germany Ashot Smbatyan, as well as main representative of the Evangelical Diocese of Berlin-Brandenburg Ulrike Troutvein.
After the ceremony, the participants will lay flowers near the Armenian Genocide memorial.
