The Children of Artsakh Ensemble and the Little Singers of Artsakh Ensemble, which are adjunct to the Charles Aznavour Cultural Center of Stepanakert, gave concerts in two distant military units of the Defense Army of Artsakh yesterday.
During the concert organized by the commanders of the Defense Army, the Charles Aznavour Cultural Center and the Union of the Relatives of Missing Freedom Fighters of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, the ensembles and individual performers performed patriotic songs and ethnographic dances that excited the attending soldiers who had spontaneously joined the dancers.
The organizers of the concert had also taken packages of pastries for the soldiers. Director of the Charles Aznavour Cultural Center Armen Hovsepyan said he was especially impressed with the soldiers’ active participation in the ethnographic dances. They also performed the “Berd” dance.
“Our main purpose has been and still is to convey the warmth of culture to the strong ties between the army and the society, and I believe the soldiers’ active participation in the performances of our ensembles’ songs and dances goes to show that the program serves its goal,” Hovsepyan said, as reports Artsakhpress.
Let us mention that the children of the ensemble and their escorts were treated to a military lunch at the military unit after the concert.
