The adversary launched a subversive infiltration attempt on Thursday at around 11:20pm, in a southeasterly direction of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army.

The Defense Army vanguard units, however, detected this advance by the reconnaissance and diversion team of the Azerbaijan armed forces, and pushed it back to its starting point, also causing them at least two casualties as well as injuries.

The NKR Defense Army suffered no casualties during the preventive action.

The adversary continued violating the ceasefire along the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces, from Thursday to early Friday morning.

During this time the Azerbaijani armed forces fired more than 5,500 shots at the Armenian military positions, and by way of rifle weaponry, mortars, and grenade launchers.

Also, the adversary made use of reactive rocket propelled howitzers.

The NKR Defense Army vanguard units, however, took targeted and retaliatory actions to quell the aggressive “activeness” by Azerbaijan.

The Armenian armed forces are confidently in command of the operational situation along the Line of Contact.
