The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic on Wednesday sent letters of gratitude to Speaker of the House of Representatives of the State of Georgia David Ralston, authors of the draft Resolution 1580 on the Artsakh Republic Pat Gardner and Demitrius Douglas, as well as Harutiioun Aghasargsian and his family for the determined efforts that they made for the passage of Resolution 1580.

As reports the press service of the NKR National Assembly, the letters of gratitude of the Speaker of the NKR National Assembly read as follows: “The independence and sovereignty of Artsakh are already irreversible and are hinged on democratic values.

Democracy is also the bedrock for the security of the people of Artsakh. We attach great importance to the fact that our partners in the parliament of the State of Georgia highly appreciated the goal of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic to shape a democratic state and the successes that it has achieved on that path.”
