Only the HDP parliamentary faction refused to spread false statements about Khojalu events

On the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the events of Khojalu, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Ismail Kahraman and the leaders of parliamentary factions have issued statements condemning Armenia, reports Ermenihaber.am.

The leaders of the parliamentary factions of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), the Kemalists’ Republican People’s Party (CHP) and the Nationalist Movement Party of the gray wolves have defended Azerbaijan’s false statements.

Out of the political parties with factions in the Turkish Mejlis, only the faction of the pro-Kurdish Democratic Party of Nations (HDP) refrained from issuing a statement firing groundless allegations against Armenia and the Armenian armed forces.

The Turkish pro-government Yeni Akit newspaper covered this, expressed its discontent with the HDP’s passivity and refers to that party as “HDP that is a fan of the Armenians”.
