RA Ministry of Diaspora hosts round-table discussion on current issues and challenges facing Armenian communities of Latin American countries and future actions
On February 26, the RA Ministry of Diaspora hosted a round-table discussion on the current issues and challenges facing the Armenian communities of Latin American countries and future actions.
Among the participants of the discussion were RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ashot Hovakimyan, Coordinator of the ARF-D Armenian National Committee of Latin America Khatchik Derghougassian, scholars, political figures, field experts and others.

Khatchik Derghougassian, keynote speaker of the round-table discussion, presented the issues and challenges facing the Armenian communities of Latin American countries and touched upon the lobbying efforts being made within the Armenian communities.
Among other speakers were RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ashot Hovakimyan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the RA National Assembly Artak Zakaryan, Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and academician Ruben Safrastyan, Head of “Modus Vivendi” Center Ara Papyan and Doctor of Political Science and Professor Alexander Manasyan.
RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan summed up the results of the discussion. Afterwards, the participants of the discussion engaged in a constructive debate and made recommendations.
