Agriculture Minister says Indian-Armenian community can be engaged in recognizability of Armenian products

There is a high demand for agricultural technologies. This is what Armenia’s Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan mentioned during a meeting with representatives of Indian companies supplying agricultural technologies, including the largest Dashmesh and Shaktiman companies held on the sidelines of the official visit to India.
As reports the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, during the meeting, the sides discussed several issues related to the production and supply of agricultural technologies and reached agreements on future cooperation.
In particular, the Indian party expressed willingness to help Armenian farmers hold exhibitions of agricultural technologies and examine the demand on the spot.
Afterwards, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in India hosted an Armenian wine taster during which visitors were introduced to over two dozen Armenian red and white dry wines.
Among the guests were representatives of organizations importing alcoholic drinks. During the event, RA Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan briefly presented the history and traditions of Armenian wine making and the current state of wine production in Armenia.
The minister also invited the attendees to visit Armenia to become familiar with Armenian wines and the conditions for wine making on the spot. The minister also expressed willingness to do everything possible to assist Indian importers in establishing cooperation with their Armenian partners.
Several representatives of Indian wine making companies informed that they would visit Armenia to establish partnerships with Armenian experts and discuss the potential areas of partnership, particularly the opportunity of exporting Armenian wines.
A meeting with representatives of the Armenian community of India was also organized during the official visit. Sergo Karapetyan voiced hope that the Armenian community of India would also be actively engaged in raising the level of recognizability of Armenian products. During the meeting, the minister also touched upon the actions being taken in the sphere of agriculture in the Republic of Armenia and answered questions from the participants of the meeting.
