RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan leaves for Lebanon
On February 13, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan left for Lebanon to participate in the final reunion-meeting of the Armenian Genocide Centennial Lebanon Regional Committee. The reunion-meeting will be held in the Cilicia Museum of Antelias under the high patronage of His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia on February 13-14.
The Committee will recap the results achieved last year and discuss the future programs and activities and general directions.
The leaders and representatives of the Armenian Genocide Centennial Regional Committees of countries in the Middle East will be participating in the reunion-meeting.
The minister will deliver an extensive report on the Armenian Genocide Centennial events held around the world, particularly in the Middle East countries, as well as the results that were recorded and the upcoming programs and activities.
On the evening of February 13, Hranush Hakobyan will participate in the St. Valentine’s Day event organized by the Lebanese Relief Cross and will give a speech titled “The Role of Women During and After the Armenian Genocide”.
On February 14, the minister will meet with His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia. On February 15, the minister will meet with Catholicos-Patriarch of the Armenian Catholic Church of the House of Cilicia, His Beatitude, Father, Krikor Bedros XI Gabroian and later with President of the World Council of Armenian Evangelical Churches, the Very Rev. Meguerditch Karagyozyan.
