Turkish university rector thinks Armenians accused him of plagiarism

Turkish rector of the Islamic University of Rotterdam Ahmet Akgündüz is accused of plagiarism, writes Ermenihaber.am.
The Turkish Odatv news website, citing the words of scholars who gave an interview to the famous Dutch Volkskrant newspaper, writes that, in his works, Akgündüz has used data without making references to the sources. According to the scholars, that is nothing more than plagiarism.
The rector of the University, who has close ties with Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), is known for the several negative statements that he has made against the Alevis, the Kurds, the Armenians, as well as those supporting the protests in Gezi Park.
Akgündüz has issued a statement denying news about plagiarism, stating that these allegations have been fired by the Armenians and the “hooligans” supporting the Kurdish Labor Party (PKK).
