Kate Winslet acknowledged as best actress for the role of an Armenian woman in the film “Steve Jobs”

It is known that computer technologies genius Steve Jobs was an adopted child and was raised by his stepmother, Clara Hagopian, who was the child of Armenians having migrated from Turkey.

Hollywood star Kate Winslet won a Golden Globe for best supporting actress in the film “Steve Jobs” in which she played the role of Joana Hoffman, who was of Armenian descent and one of the members of the first team to have developed the Macintosh computers, reports sputnik.co.am, writes ira-news.

Kate Winslet exceeded the other candidates, including actresses Judith Light, Uzo Aduba, Regina King, Maura Tierney and Joanne Froggatt.

This is Kate Winslet’s fourth Golden Globe.
