Writer and literary critic Muhammad Hujazi has written about the film “Story of a Crazy Person” in the El Mayadin newspaper. The film is about a victim who wants to meet the person who injured him. The film presents the military struggle against Turkey, which still hasn’t acknowledged the massacres.

Hujazi writes the following:

“The film is sincere, daring and reveals the circumstances behind the Armenian Cause with balance and logic. The film presents the social, political and military aspects of the Armenian Cause.

The film is directed by Robert Gedigian and was shot in Lebanon, Marseille and Armenia. It is based on real life stories and presents the story of Jose Antonio Coreran. The film focuses on the survivors of the Armenian Genocide who settled in Marseilles 100 years ago. Among them were Aram and his parents. His father was a baker, who was against violence and thought goals could be accomplished by different means, but without weapons. He would always have disputes with his wife, Anush, who wasn’t against the murder of a large number of Turkish officials and would support Aram’s participation in the demonstrations that were organized to remind the world about the Armenian Cause and the Armenian victims.

Aram joins the armed groups who trust him to kill Turkey’s Ambassador to France. During a bombing, Aram notices a young man near the ambassador’s car. He waits for a couple of minutes for the young man to leave, but he has to complete the assignment, and as a result, the young man loses his legs.

Aram’s mother, Anush visits the young man during his treatment and apologizes on behalf of his son and the Armenian nation. Anush organizes the meeting of the disabled young man and Aram in Lebanon, but when she gets there, she learns that Aram is at a military camp in Palestine. Through Aram’s friends, Anush and the young man meet with Aram, and the young man talks to Aram. After the meeting, Aram leaves, smiling. A young man approaches his car and kills Aram in front of his mother.”
