Charles Aznavour to give concert in Dubai

Legendary French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour will give a concert in the United Arab Emirates. As reports “Armenpress”, citing Aznavour’s official Facebook page, the concert will be held at the Sheikh Rachid Hall of the Dubai World Trade Centre on February 12, 2016.

Dubai.platinumlist.net reports that Dubai Classics is presenting the living legend in the United Arab Emirates for the first time ever. “The French singer is of Armenian descent and is Armenia’s Ambassador to Switzerland,” as posted on the website. The flyer for the concert has also been posted on Aznavour’s official Facebook page.

Notable French-Armenian singer, composer, actor and public figure Charles Aznavour was born on May 22, 1924 in Paris. He has composed and performed many famous songs and has released about 100 million albums. Since 2009, Aznavour is Armenia’s Ambassador to Switzerland. He is also Armenia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Headquarters in Geneva and other international organizations.

On October 10, the legendary singer gave a concert in Armenia and visited different sites in the country.
