On December 8, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received members of the Central Committee of Homenetmen led by Chairman of the Central Committee Karnig Meguerditchian at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, reports the Mother See information system.

Introducing the members of the Central Committee, Karnig Meguerditchian touched upon the mission and issues of Homenetmen Central Committee and the cooperation with the Dioceses of the Armenian Church. The chairman of Homenetmen Central Committee particularly mentioned that the consolidation of all the members of the Central Committee in the Homeland conveys more energy to everyone and reinforces their mission, that is, to keep Armenian youth pure and help them stay true to the holy morals and traditions of their ancestors.

The Catholicos of All Armenians gave his blessing to the new members of the Homenetmen Central Committee, attached importance to their visit to the spiritual center of all Armenians and appreciated the role that they play in the formation of the image of Armenian youth and in the divine act of establishing moral and spiritual values in their hearts. Touching upon the activities of the Homenetmen Central Committee, His Holiness added that the Armenian Church has always prioritized the great and cherished mission of educating the young generation and has commended the Armenians who dedicate themselves to making the youth feel patriotic and shaping their world views.

During the meeting, the sides also touched upon the activities of the Armenian Youth Centers operating under the auspices of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the AGBU and the spiritual and patriotic education that is provided there.

Director of the International Relations and Protocol Division of the Mother See, His Grace, Father Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan was also attending the meeting.
