Various products, including gifts, honey, pastry, paintings and other works of art produced in Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia will be showcased and sold during the Artsakh Fair to be held in Beirut from December 11 to 13, reports the ANI Center for Armenian Studies to Hayern Aysor.
The three-day exhibition-sale will be held at “Pyunik” Hall adjunct to Aztag Daily and is organized by Lebanon’s Artsakh Fund, which has been donating milking cows to all the families of the Karvatchar and Kashatagh regions of Artsakh giving birth to the third child and more children every year since 2008.
Several works to be showcased and sold at the exhibition-sale are the works by the women of the city of Kovsakan (Zangelan) in the Kashatagh region of Artsakh.
The inspiration and moving force for these works is Maral Mahserejian, who spends a couple of weeks during the year in Kovsakan and other areas of Artsakh to help Armenian ladies and women.
“We don’t give the fish, but the net,” Mahserejian says, inspired as she shows the handmade items made by the women of Artsakh.
Being patriotic is not just a phrase, but a very clear, specific and a difficult task. Since 2008, the Artsakh Fund and its supporting women’s body have been continuing this patriotic act silently, but with a feeling of pride since 2008.
