Atom Egoyan’s film “Remember” wins Award for Sympathy of the Audience at Mar del Plata International Film Festival

Canadian-Armenian filmmaker Atom Egoyan’s film “Remember” has received the Award for Sympathy of the Audience at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival in Argentina, reports Telam newspaper, according to sputnik.co.am.
Among those attending the closing ceremony of the 30th international film festival were president of the competition Jose Martinez Suares and President of the Institute for Cinema and the Arts of Argentina Lucrecia Cardoso, as well as famous actors and government officials.
The film “Remember”, which stars Oscar-winning actor Christopher Plummer and Martin Landau, is about the revenge of one of the deportees of the Auschwitz concentration camp. As Egoyan has mentioned several times, the film is also a reflection of the pain and suffering that the Armenians experienced during the Armenian Genocide.
