Erdogan has decided to reside in the palace of Sultan Abdul Hamid
President of Turkey Recep Tayyib Erdogan, who is a fan of the Ottoman Empire, has decided to turn the palace of Sultan Abdul Hamid into his presidential residence and place of residence in Istanbul.
As reports BirGun, by the decision of the Turkish government, the palace historically named Yildiz has been transferred to the President. It will be renovated and will become the presidential residence and place of residence for President of Turkey Recep Tayyib Erdogan in Istanbul.
News.am reminds that it was from this palace where Sultan Abdul Hamid governed the Ottoman Empire. However, he was ridden out of this palace when the Young Turks perpetrated a coup d’etat with the support of the Armenians and other ethnic minorities in 1909.
