Armenia, Armenians and Armenian wine presented at British Guild of Travel Writers award ceremony
The Armenian Development Fund has reached a special agreement, according to which the theme of Armenia and Armenians and Armenian wine were part of the award ceremony held by the British Guild of Travel Writers on the evening of November 1.
The annual dinner-award ceremony of the British Guild of Travel Writers is the year’s major event in the sphere and brings together 350 journalists, including those who contend to be the best.
As reports the news service of the Armenian Development Fund to “Armenpress”, a tasting and presentation of Armenian wine were part of the dinner. Guests were served specially selected dishes of Armenian cuisine that had been made by chefs from Armenia.
The event included performances by Arto Tuncboyaciyan and Armenian music, the screening of a film presenting the charm of tourism in Armenia and other events presenting the country. Most of the 350 guests participating in the tasting of Armenian wine and presentation of Armenian culture and cuisine at the dinner-award ceremony of the British Guild of Travel Writers of London were journalists and wine experts whose opinions can change people’s views and, in many cases, their positive feedback can help make the Armenian wine industry and Armenian national cuisine more popular than several advertisements. So, such a special agreement with the organizers of the dinner-award ceremony is a success,” Executive Director of the Armenian Development Fund Arman Khachatryan mentioned.
