Young Armenian traveled 1,000 km across Armenia and Artsakh with his bike
UK-based Raffi Yurejian has traveled 1,000 km across Armenia and Artsakh with a bike and has published a book that presents his adventures. In an interview with NEWS.am STYLE, Raffi said the book “Tour de Armenia” presents “the good and bad things that he saw, the jokes and serious things and how everyone tried to marry him everywhere he went” in Armenia.
“I live in London and wanted to see all parts of Armenia. I wrote about the good and bad things, but I wrote more about the kind and simple people in the villages who would help me,” Raffi mentioned, adding that this was his fourth visit to the Historic Homeland.
“My first three visits were with a group of benefactors. We came to Armenia and set up summer camps for children. I wasn’t able to tour Armenia, but I had always wanted to. That’s why I decided to come again and tour with my bike,” said the traveler, who has been to nearly 50 countries.
When asked what new things he discovered in Armenia, Raffi mentioned the following:
“I discovered many new things, including the beauties of Armenia, my history within the nice monasteries and how kind the people are. You won’t find such people anywhere else.”
The book “Tour de Armenia” was released in English nearly two years ago and has been translated into Bulgarian and French. The Armenian version is currently being proofread.
