Zvartnots Cathedral to be lit up blue on the evening of October 24th
On October 24, United Nations Day, member states will join the “Turn the World Blue” celebration dedicated to the 70th anniversary of UNESCO. The world’s most spectacular bridges, buildings, monuments and other memorable structures will be lit up blue, providing the opportunity to emphasize the relations between UN member states, which will also symbolize peace, development and human rights protection.
The “Service for Protection of Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museums and the Historical Environment” SNCO reports that Armenia will also be joining the special initiative that is being carried out on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the UNESCO.
The Zvartnots Cathedral will be lit up blue from 19:00 to 21:00 on October 24.
