Zoryan Youth Union organized pilgrimage to St. Nshan Church and Sister and Brother Chapels of Akhaltskha
On October 11, the Zori Zoryan Youth Union (ZZYU), in association with the youth educational and cultural centers of Ninotsminda and Akhalkalak, organized an expedition/pilgrimage to Akhaltskha where they were joined by the young members of the local unions, reports Hayern Aysor, according to Akhaltskha.Net.
Among the participants were members of the three branches of ZZYU and the junior union (Akhaltskha, Akhalkalak and Ninotsminda), as well as the Union’s supporters. Overall, 80 people participated in the expedition/pilgrimage.
With tricolor flags, the participants of the expedition visited the St. Nshan Church of Akhaltskha and later the Sister and Brother Monasteries (the chapels have been named the Sister and Brother Monasteries by the people).
There were different kinds of lectures held throughout the day. The youth were introduced to the history of the St. Nshan Church and the Sister and Brother Monasteries. They also learned about Zori Zoryan and the heroic self-defense of Akhaltskha. In addition to the lectures, the youth had a chance to play different kinds of games in groups.
The day ended with a screening of pictures at the youth center of Akhaltskha.
