Destruction of Azerbaijani strongoint and counterfire suppress rival’s activeness

The situation in the settlements of Tavush border region is comparatively calm now, the cases of ceasefire violation on the part of Azerbaijan have reduced.

On September 24 evening, the Armed Forces of Armenia were able to suppress the rival’s activeness by counterfire on Armenia­Azerbaijan border during which there were civilian casualties and injuries. “Armenpress” was informed by the Department of Information and Public Affairs of Defense Ministry of Armenia that there were no casualties or injured among the Armenian military.

According to certain information, one of the Azerbaijani strongpoints from which they fired and which is located in front of Paravakar community was also destroyed by Armenian forces. 5 Azerbaijani soldiers were killed in counterfire by the Armenian side
