The bust of one of the figures of the Armenian national liberation movement and the leader of the first Fedayins (group of freedom fighters) Arabo was recently placed in the Avan village of Aragatsotn Province, which is populated by the Armenians of Sasun and Mush.
The placement of the bust is the initiative of Head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Development of Yerevan Municipality Andranik Kasaryan, who is originally from Avan village. The honor of unveiling the bust was reserved for Mayor Taron Margaryan and Governor of Aragatsotn Province Sargis Sahakyan, writes armradio.am.
