Mark Moogalian’s health condition improves

The health condition of Mark Moogalian, a hero of the Amsterdam-Paris train, is improving, according to NEWS.am, Le Parisien daily of France reported citing representatives of the Lille city hospital.
“He was able to stand up for a few seconds,” noted the hospital staff. “Considering the satisfactory dynamics of his [health] condition and the additional examinations conducted, the patient can be transferred to a Paris hospital next week.”
According to the available information, Moogalian is currently at the surgery department.
The French American academic—with Armenian roots—shot by the Amsterdam-to-Paris train gunman telephoned US Airman Spencer Stone, who had stopped his bleeding, to thank him for saving his life, Moogalian’s wife informed, reported the American NBC News.
“My husband was able to talk to Spencer on the phone a couple of days ago and he was very emotional,” said Isabelle Risacher-Moogalian. “I went to see Spencer and I gave him a big kiss and I said, ��?Look, you know, thank you. I will never be able to thank you enough for what you did. You saved his life.’ Spencer was like, Yeah, you know, no problem!’”
Professor Mark Moogalian, 51, was shot in the back after trying to apprehend the attacker who had just emerged armed with an assault rifle from the aforesaid train’s toilet.
