Crazy and colorful running will be first held in Yerevan on August 15. This event has been organized in different countries of the world: Russia, USA, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, and China. Now it is in Armenia. The organizer of the event is “Run Armenia” project. Armenpress reports, citing runarmenia.org, that this is running where age and athletic performance does not matter. Yerevan Color Run promises to be the most joyful and funny 3 km in the lives of the participants.

One of the aims of Yerevan Color Run is to aid 9 year old Gor. Gor’s parents renounced their child at the maternity hospital but gave him a beautiful Armenian name and a surname. Gor was born with a spinal cord injury as a result of which he is not able to walk. Part of the money raised during Yerevan Color Run will be spent on Gor’s operation and purchase of a wheelchair.

The event will take place at the Sports and Concerts Complex at 7:00, August 15.
