On July 29, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Glendale Unified School District board member Nairi Nahapetian. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to development of the Armenia-Diaspora partnership, preservation of the Armenian identity in the USA, as well as issues facing the Armenian community in Glendale. The sides particularly touched upon problems with teaching of Armenian and further involvement of Armenian American teachers in the courses that are part of the “Diaspora” Summer School Program of the RA Ministry of Diaspora.

 On behalf of the Glendale Unified School District board, Nairi Nahapetian granted a certificate of appreciation to Minister Hranush Hakobyan for providing Armenian schools of Glendale with textbooks through the Procurement of Textbooks and Supporting Materials and Delivery to Armenian Educational Institutions of the Diaspora Program.
