Iran-Turkey gas pipeline exploded at foot of Mount Ararat

The gas pipeline passing through Doghubayazit region of the Turkish state of Adre (Ararat) and providing for import of natural gas from Iran to Turkey, has exploded, reports ermenihaber.am.

Security forces are working on revealing the causes of the explosion that took place near Hallach village, which is situated at the foot of Sis (Little Masis).

The Turkish Radikal reports that rumor has it that the gas pipeline was bombed by the soldiers representing the Labor Party of Kurdistan (PKK), whom the Turks consider terrorists.
