Hasmik Papyan and Barsegh Tumanyan to perform at Monastery of Bikfaya
On the evening of July 19, two world famous Armenian soloists, Hasmik Papyan and Barsegh Tumanyan will perform at the Monastery of Bikfaya under an open sky with the accompaniment of the Symphony Orchestra of Bikfaya and its artistic director, maestro Harout Fazlian.
Soprano Hasmik Papyan and Tenor Barsegh Tumanyan have been invited to Lebanon by the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia and His Holiness Aram I.
Several church ceremonies and other events will be held in Lebanon under the leadership and direction of His Holiness Aram I and within the framework of the events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide on the 18th and 19th of July.
The opening of the museum devoted to the orphans of the Armenian Genocide will be held in the city of Zbeil, a blessing of the Muron ceremony will be held near the St. Mary Monastery of Bikfaya, the renovated and expanded Square of Martyrs will open, a Divine and eternal Liturgy and water blessing ceremony will be held and an inter-church prayer will be said at the St. Gregory the Illuminator Mother Cathedral in Antelias.
