LifeNews has prepared a special report on how Russian businessman German Sterligov is living and doing business in Nagorno-Karabakh, writes Artsakhpress.
In the video, the reporter mentions that Sterligov, who has settled in Shushi, has purchased a nearly 130-year-old stone flour mill for AMD 2 million, which is an incredibly low price for that flour mill. According to Sterligov, this flour mill is ideal since it can operate without electricity and other technologies.
The businessman is selling his flour on the streets. He says people are still looking, but he hopes there is higher demand for his flour. “The local clever buyers are still getting flour for free from the street merchant,” says LifeNews’s reporter.
Sterligov is certain that Shushi will soon become “the capital of trade” of Karabakh. He plans on producing not only flour and bread, but also homemade jam, cheese and lemonade and promises that his products will be sold at low prices.
According to the reporter, the people of Karabakh receive him with open arms and as a close friend who is in need of help to overcome difficulties. “He meets with the most influential people of the unrecognized republic on a daily basis. He is not only received with open arms, but also receives gifts. Ten days after settling in Karabakh, he now owns purebred horses of Karabakh,” says the reporter.
As Sterligov had announced earlier, he will be leaving for Moscow earlier. “I have decided to return to Russia so that I can put an end to all the rumors that I’m hiding from justice. I’m leaving my family here. Such rumors are causing harm to the relations between Russia and Karabakh. Why should they get into a dispute because of me?” he had explained.
