The delegation led by Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan, who is on an official visit to Marseille, visited the Holy Mother of God Armenian Apostolic Church of Marseille, reports the press service of Yerevan Municipality.
Priest Aram Ghazarian introduced the mayor to the church’s history and talked about the local Armenian community’s efforts to preserve the Armenian identity.
Attaching special importance to the preservation of Armenian national culture and traditions and the role and significance of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the preservation of the Armenian identity in Armenian communities of the Diaspora, Mayor Taron Margaryan expressed his gratitude to Priest Aram Ghazarian for his consistent efforts in consolidating the members of the Armenian community of Marseille.
