European champion at the Universiad in Kazan, Olympic bronze medalist Artur Alexanyan (96 kg) has moved on to the semi-final of the Greco-Roman style wrestling championship.

The Armenian wrestler won his Lithuanian opponent Vilius Lauinaritis 4-0 in the 1/4 final.

In the semi-final, he will be competing with Aleksandr Khrabovik from Belarus and Mehdi Aliyarifelizabagh from Iran.

Alexanyan had also won Turk wrestler Suleyman Demiri 4-0.

European champion, world and Olympic silver medalist Arsen Julfalakyan (74 kg) won Atabek Azizbekov (Kyrgyzstan), but lost to Roman Vlasov (Russia).
