A film based on Grigor Narekatsi’s “Book of Tragedies” has been broadcast on Russia’s famous “Культура” TV channel, reports hasarkutyun.am.

The poem “Book of Tragedies” is the best product of the thinking of medieval Armenian writers and is one of the greatest artistic values created by mankind. The poem is a summary of the best works that have been created by Armenian poets, starting from ancient times and ending with the 10^th century. The poem is composed of 95 chapters. It is a lyrical-spiritual poem. It is not known when the poem was written, but Grigor Narekatsi finished writing the poem in 1002, a year before his death.
