Ken Hachikian calls on signing ArmeniaUS trade agreement during Serzh Sargsyan’s visit to Washington D.C.
Chairman of the Armenian National Committee of America Ken Hachikian has urged US Trade Representative Michael Froman to sign the ArmeniaUS Trade and Investments Framework Agreement (TIFA) during President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan’s upcoming visit to Washington D.C..
As “Armenpress” reports, in the letter addressed to the US official, Hachikian mentioned that the agreement has passed a long stage of preparations and successful negotiations, but still hasn’t been officially ratified by the United States and Armenia. The signing of such an agreement with Armenia will have a significant impact on the current economic dialogue. “The agreement will provide the opportunity to ensure a wider and more constant platform for the US government to meet on a regular basis and consult with Armenian government officials to expand economic cooperation, as well as trade and investment opportunities,” as stated in the letter.
