Farell is a well-known trademark in France, and not only. The trademark for pantyhose and stockings and now for accessories and swimming suits can be seen at shops in different cities across France. Another Farell shop opened a couple of days ago.
Hayern Aysor’s correspondent sat down for an interview with Farell’s founder, 25-year-old Gor Haroyan, who was born in the city of Gyumri of Armenia and later moved to France.
Hayern Aysor: When did you move to France, Gor?
Gor Haroyan: I moved to France to continue my studies. I studied accounting for two years, after which I obtained a university degree in business management.
Hayern Aysor: How did you start producing stockings?
G. H.: My partner and I started importing pantyhose and stockings from Armenia. They were produced especially for the Farell trademark. Later, we started collaborating with partners in Italy and Russia.
Hayern Aysor: Why did you choose the name “Farell”? Could you tell us a little about the company?
G. H.: My friend and I were thinking about the name for a long time. Since our products are for women, we changed the English word combination “for them” a little bit and got the word “Farell”. It sounds nice and can easily make an impression.
Hayern Aysor: Could you tell us about the company’s successes and achievements? How were you able to succeed in France?
G. H.: Our diligence and the trademark’s high quality helped us achieve great heights. We have shops in almost all cities across the country. After overcoming many difficulties, we have participated in the annual WHO’S NEXT Fair in Paris three times, and our new collections have been showcased next to the collections of many world famous trademarks. We have also participated in several international fairs in Hong Kong, Tokyo and other cities.
Hayern Aysor: What is the formula for your success?
G. H.: The first factor is diligence. The fact that I am a young businessman also sparks great interest among the media and businessmen.
Hayern Aysor: Do you maintain relations with the French-Armenian community?
G. H.: I have close ties with the France-Armenia Chamber of Industry. I participate in almost all of the Chamber’s events whenever I have the chance.
Hayern Aysor: Finally, tell us a little about your plans.
G. H.: In 2015, alongside the production of pantyhose and stockings, Farell now also produces accessories and swimming suits.
In 2014, we opened our first shop in Luxembourg. Just days ago we opened a Vintage shop in Perigueur where I studied. I hope we open Farell’s shops not only in Europe, but also in Yerevan.
