Only single Armenian man in Chalishar village of Sasun wants to get married to an Armenian girl

There are only two Armenian families living in the Chalishar village of Sasun province of the state of Batman in modern-day Turkey. In an interview with a correspondent of batmancagdas website, member of one of the families, Cemil Kaplan, who is 38 years old and is still single, said he wanted to stop being single and start a family, writes ermenihaber.am.
“I want to get married to an Armenian girl, who will want to live in our village located at the plateau of Mount Maruta,” the Armenian villager said.
“Most of our relatives left for Yerevan or Istanbul. My uncle Arif Kaplan and I are the only Armenians in the village. I’m getting old and am looking for an Armenian girl to marry,” Kaplan, who was born and raised in the Chalisher village located at the foot of Mount Maruta, added.
Kaplan mentioned that he wouldn’t like to leave the village where the tombs of his father and other ancestors are located and said that he had already informed his relatives in Yerevan and Istanbul about his desire to get married.
